Sr. Content Designer
Carbine Studios, a software development company focused on making high-quality, cutting-edge, and conceptually innovative Massively Multiplayer Games, is looking for a Senior Content Designer who can create high-quality quest content for an upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game.
Responsibilities
- Participates in the planning of the design of all in-game quests, authoring and maintaining design documents, gathering reference and working with the other leads on the team to establish priorities for quest development
- Works with the Lead Content Designer to develop and create individual quests and overarching quest lines
- Oversees creation of the quest design templates and quest design documents, to ensure that all documentation is consistent and thorough
- Reviews and provides feedback on all quest elements in the game
- Trains and mentors the quest design team
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience working in a design role
- Must have shipped at least one AAA quality product working in a design capacity
- Must have experience in RPG and/or Action Adventure genres
- General MMO experience highly desired:MMO knowledge essential
- Strong passion for games and excellent knowledge of video games, particularly RPGs
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong decision-making and organizational skills
Pluses
- Love of pen and paper RPGs, board games and comic books.
- Avid creative writer (novels, short stories, etc)
- Avid MMO player
