How can I get a job at Carbine Studio?

If you've found your dream job listed on the Carbine Studios jobs page, you can start the application process directly from that page. If you are interested in more than one opportunity, submit your resume and cover letter for each job.

What should I include with my application?

Cover Letter

Your cover letter should clearly state which position you are applying for. You'll want to make sure to take special care that your cover letter matches the job you are applying for.

Resume

Resumes should contain the following information:

• Contact information: Full name, address, e-mail, and phone number where you can be reached.
• Work experience: Your work history should include your job title, the dates you worked at each and a brief description of your responsibilities.
• Skills: What are you proficient in? (Softimage, C++, etc.)
• Education: Let us know about any diplomas, degrees, or certifications you hold that will help us understand more about your qualifications.

What are you looking for in an applicant?

Artists

Art submissions should include links to your portfolio or demo reel. If we like what we see, we'll contact you to take our art test to help us get a sense of your art style and creativity.

Programmers

Programming candidates should display a passion for creating great games and have a history of demonstrating that passion. Previous MMO development experience or avid MMO gaming experience is desired. Send a cover letter and resume with a link to any source or personal projects you want to share. Individual job listings will detail what other experience is expected for the position.

Designers

Designers at Carbine Studios should be avid MMO players. They need a strong passion for games and excellent knowledge of video games - particularly RPGs. Love of pen and paper RPGs, board games, and comic books is helpful. To apply, designers need only send a cover letter and resume. If your experience meets our qualifications, we will follow up with a design test to assess your creativity and ability to take direction.

What if I don't hear from you immediately?

We will attempt to contact you as soon as we can after receiving your application, but our review process can take several days. We will be in touch to let you know the status of your application as soon as we can, but if you've got urgent questions, please send a note to jobs@carbinestudios.com and we will help you out.

What if I am not a US citizen?

Carbine Studios has a diverse staff made up of people from around the world. Applicants who are hired will need to show proof of their legal right to work in the US.

Does Carbine Studios provide internships?

Carbine Studios does not currently provide an internship program.
